What Causes Clear Sticky Discharge Form Scalp With Itchiness And Dandruff?

So I was going to sleep and I noticed to feel some clear sticky liquid coming out of the bottom part of my head, and I felt a bump on the right side of my head. I m not sure if it s part of my head or because of something else but it feels pretty big. And my head itches and dandruff is coming, should I be concerned?

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the most possible issue responsible for sticky discharge scalp with itchiness and dandruff is related to parasitic infection as scabies or mites. It is best recommended for following guidelines to follow:
- Keep the scalp and hair clean with antiseptic liquid and permethrin solution on alternate basis
- Use protein rich conditioner or shampoo for hair nutrition
- Avoid commercial dye application
- Get prescription of anti histamine as diphenhydramine, prophylactic, antifungal medication as fluconazole and other supportive therapy.
- Local application of Ketoconazole cream
- Particular anti parasitic medications by oral route is the decision of consultant after clinical examination.
