What Causes Clear Vaginal Discharge Along With Bad Odour?

I have recently been treated for my second bacterial infection since December of last year. I took antibiotics, along w medicine for a yeast infection. The problem is, now that it s gone, I m still having discharge issues except now it is like straight water with a musty, stale smell. Almost like I m sweating down there. It is really frustrating because I ve taken all these meds and I know it s not an infection anymore, and there are no other symptoms- no itching or irritation of any kind. Could I be allergic to the soap or laundry detergent I ve been using??

Hello, greetings! Thanks for your query. Vaginal discharge can occur due to a variety of reasons. Bacterial and yeast infections are two of the common causes for vaginal discharge. Since you have been treated for them, it may not be prudent to put you on a dose of antibiotics again. Vagina has a specific pH i.e., acid base balance of 3.5-4.5. Factors which disrupt this balance may lead to the above mentioned symptoms. If you have changed your laundry or soap in the recent past, it maybe a reason. Used a pH balanced soap/cleanser for your vagina, this can be easily obtained at your nearby pharmacy store.
