What Causes Clicking Motion And Burning Sensation In Knee?

i lifted a few days ago doing legs and at baseball practice i started to run and i had this clicking motion on the outside of my knee it gave me a burning sensation down into my upper calf. its really starting to worry me and bother me. it feels like something moving and clicking on the outside of my knee when i push off my foot to switch direction. can you please help me?
