What Causes Clicking Of Ankle?

My left ankle keeps clicking.When i sit down for a long time is keeps doing it, not only is it really loud but when i get up i cant walk on it. The clicking it self is really painful and it's painful to walk on . I think the clicking is coming form the middle of my ankle area. Im 14 years if that helps an im a boy.
