Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Clicking Sound In Throat After Swallowing Saliva?
Whenever I have extra saliva; chewing gum, hard candy, upon awakening in morning, when still lying flat in bed, after swallowing extra saliva, my throat makes an air type noise immediately, fairly loud, almost like gurgle. No pain, no trouble swallowing. I am 58 years old and this never happened until now. Thank you.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, stomatitis could be the cause and it could be some fungal infection and it need to be ruled out till then you can try mouth gargle and best would be "Povidone Iodine" hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
