What Causes Clogged Ears Despite Taking Amoxicillin And Benadryl?

I just quit smoking January 2nd. My ears are completely clogged and I feel like I m going crazy. I went to doctor and got 875 mg amoxicillin 2x a day, benedryl and it hasn t helped. I already take xanax 3x a day for anxiety and I can t leave the house at all. To grocery shop nothing because I feel like I m going to have a full blown attack or fall over from feeling unbalanced. How can I unplug my ears?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of feeling fullness in ears can be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction or blocked Eustachian tubes with fluid accumulation secondary to Ear infection..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopic examination of ears can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can continue taking antibiotics and anti allergics but you also need to take decongestant Oral as well as Nasal Spray to decongest or unclog the ears.

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
