As per your complain it seems that plugging of the left ear along with swishing sound seems to be due to
blocked eustachian tube along with fluid accumulation behind the eardum..
It is commonly seen after
severe cold and phlegm and generally resove gradually once the cold resolves..
As of now you should continue taking the prescribed medicine to you that you are taking along with it you can take decongestant nasal sprays like
Xylometazoline or
oxymetazoline containing sprays..
You should do steam inhalations..
Avoid chilled foods and drink warm water..
In case if there is no resolution in a week consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like
Audiometry, x ray , MRI etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.
