Doc I have my left ear clogged from past one day n I m nt able to hear from it. I went to an ENT n he suggested me to put clear wax drops for three days five times each day... N den after the third day he asked to visit again as he is going to take the wax out.. M a bit afraid as after using the eardrop m nt able to hear.. Plz suggest
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of clogged sensation in the left ear which could be due to otitis externa , localize infection, eustachian tube dysfunction and wax buildup
Need not to worry. For now apply dry warm compresses to external ear , keep your ear dry , cover them while bathing and take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl .Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may recommend you few exercises like blowing air with closed nose and mouth,swallowing, yawning or chewing gum . Doctor may also prescribe decongestant to reduce the swelling of the lining of the tubes , antihistamine and antibiotics. Doctor may also implanting pressure equalization tubes.
