What Causes Closed Eye Hallucinations While On Solupred And Aerius?

Good Day I was given Solupred for a flu infection, especially because I had a big inflammation in my thoat. 2x20mg over 4 days. in addition Aerrius 5mg for & days. Today I started the drugs but the moment I close my eyes, the funniest pictures appear in front of me. Nothing scary, just funny but keep me from sleeping. Is that s side effect of solupred or is that more related to the flu? Thanks Ian

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Aerious and solupred were probably given to you for ENT allergies. The hallucinations you have can be side effect of drug Aerious which needs adjustment of doses of change of medication. Please consult the treating doctor.

Thank you. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
