General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
These symptoms in a 8 month old baby is a matter of concern
this can be due to any of following
Pneumonia
ARDS
allergic bronchitis
heart problem
Instead of doing experiments with these drugs I would advise you to visit a paediatrician for clinical examination and a battery of tests like hemoglobin CBC ESR nas an X ray chest

Give feeds regularly
you can add multivitamin supplements to boost immunity

Hope this addresses your question
best wishes
