What Causes Cold, Running Nose And Sneezing Post A Hysterectomy?

I just had a hysterectomy on Wednesday and am taking Norco, Motrin, and Zofran. I have also developed a slight cold that is causing a runny nose and excessive sneezing. The sneezing is extremely painful with the incisions on my abdomen. What can I safely take for the cold symptoms?
