What Causes Cold Sensation In The Leg After A Fall?

My husband fell off of a ladder last week and twisted his leg, ever since then his leg from his knee down to his toes have been ice cold. He had xrays taken of his ankle and nothing was found. He kept telling the nurses and doctors that his leg was hurting from his knee down but they never checked his knee. Any ideas on what might be causing it?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a contusion. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself. You can apply ice packs for faster recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
