Is the episode of cold sweat accompanied by
chills and rigors?
Chills and rigors along with
fever and sweats is characteristically seen in malarial infection.
These symptoms occur episodically in malaria at an interval of 48 hours.
In case, your husband is experiencing these symptoms, then he needs to get a complete hemogram, antigen test for malarial parasite and slide for malarial parasite.
Loss of appetite can occur due to prostation associated with infection.
Besides malaria, other infection which is associated with fever,
night sweats and loss of appetite is
tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis causes loos of appetite, loos of weight and extreme weakness.
In case, you are suffering from these symptoms, I suggest you to consult your physician for complete hemogram and mantaux skin test.
Mantoux test your doctor at the earliest for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
