What Causes Cold Sweats, Nausea And Body Tremors?

I keep experiencing, occasionally, cold sweats,, nausea, extreme shaking, and what seems to be hot flashes at the same time. I have had a gastric sleeve 3-4 years ago. Assuming it is hypoglycemia, and I eat protein and carbs and after a half hour it goes away. I just had an episode and am still shaking. It s been over an hour. I had an A1c done a month or two ago and it was normal. As well as my BG.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Considering your symptoms, and the fact that your blood glucose was normal, I think it might be caused by a hyperthyroidism disorder.

These disorders are often accompanied by hot flashes, shaking, nausea, cold sweats.

I suggest you do blood analysis of TSH, FT3, and FT4 and a thyroid ultrasound exam.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suela Gjata,
