What Causes Cold, Throat Pain, White/yellow Line Going Down The Center Of Throat?

hi, it is day 3 of my cold and my throat has not stopped hurting. I can hardly swallow or yawn. this morning I noticed a white/yellow line going down the centre of my throat. could it just be nasal drip or is it something else? please let me know, thanks!

Understanding your concern.As per your query you have cold, throat pain, white/yellow line going down the center of throat means you are suffering from upper respiratory tract infection commonly known as common cold. you should take Ibuprofen for reducing inflammation and pain. Do steam inhalations and use saline nasal spray. Take a multivitamin tablet daily for 15 days.Take a course of antibiotics like Azithromycin. Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done . go for blood and swab test to rule out any underlying condition and start treatment.
