The features described in your query are suggestive of Hypothyroidism apparently caused by Amiodarone which is used to prevent the life threatening cardiac arrhythmias following CCTGA VSD PS Repair. You must consult your treating physician/cardiologist for this side effect and its treatment which may involve 1. Use of Levothyroxine to normalize the TSH level and hence relieve the symptoms of hypothyroidism 2. Use of Dronedarone - a recently approved safer antiarrhythmic drug which is very similar to Amiodarone (without Iodine content) but least likely to cause hypothyroidism 3. Stopping Amiodarone and use of another alternate antiarrhythmic drug; Hypothyroidism often subsides within 3–4 months in patients.
