What Causes Confusion While On Percocet?

My husband is foggy and a little confused but now says feels a little clearer. He stopped taking a 50 mg metoprolol ER starting Friday perdoctors orders, that would not cause little confusion . He is on Percocet 10/325 for pain after colostomy surgery 2013. Heart rate was78 blood O2 93, blood sugar 144 and has had all insulin for day. Would taking q less metoprolol 50 mg ER cause confusion?

Hi,

It's very unlikely that taking less metoprolol would cause him to be confused. . Another possibility is that the Percocet is causing the confusion, I'd try to limit that and see if it clears him up. If you're still worried about his mental status, I'd recommend calling your doctor or having him evaluated.

I hope I have answered your question. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or if you feel I haven't adequately answered your question.
