What Causes Congenital Penile Curvature?

Can you use absorbable sutures to correct congenital penile curvature? Additionally, can penile curvature be cause by a general fibrosis of a corporal body? If those hard fibers are released can the curve correct itself without the need for sutures?

In many cases, just reassurance is needed for the patient not to worry about the curvature because even with the curvature, the person can naturally and successfully engage in sexual act.

Congenital curvature should be distinguished from Peyronie’s Disease and the treatment for men who are unable to have intercourse due to the bend preventing them from penetrative intercourse. With the help of correction of the hard fibres, the conditions can be treated easily.

There are no evidences which show penile curvature can be causing general fibrosis of a corporal body. You should consult an urologist and let the urologist determine the course of treatment.
