What Causes Congestion And Tightness In The Chest?

Hi there doctor, I have been to two different doctors. The second doctor helped. I have mucus, congested, unable to sleep, low body temp 97 degrees, yellow eyes, tightness in my chest and weakness. I received pro air and a nebulizer treatment and antibiotics. Will I relapse? I don t smoke this episode is by far the the worst. Thank you for your time Michele

Hi,

According to history you are having bronchitis like upper respiratory tract infection. There might be bronchoconstriction for which you have been prescribed bronchodilator nebulization. For congestion relief you can take phenylephrine or benadryl like drug Vitamin C lozenges useful Steam inhalation done three times a day. Hot water help in soothing If wet cough troublesome than Ambroxol syrup useful I advise you to investigate with.

- CBC And if needed chest x ray. You will recover in few days. Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily.

Consult pulmonologoist for examination with keeping all this in mind.
