Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mom is in the ICU and was digonosed with congestive heart failure, she was put under sedation Tuesday and today is Friday. She still is not waking up. The doctors have tested brain blood and everything seems to come back normal. They are unsure of why she isn t coming to. She does abuse prescription drug pills FYI, but any idea when or what s going on? Has this happened before?
Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! Regarding your concern I would like to explain that those diet pills are known to cause sometimes severe heart valve dysfunction (severe regurgitation). This may lead to congestive heart failure and aggravate the patient clinical condition. It is more healthy and physiological to follow other alternative weight reducing options. i would not recommend those pills at all. Nevertheless I hope and wit ha fast recovery for your mom. Hope to have answered your question. Greetings! Dr. Iliri
