What Causes Considerable Hair Loss During Postpartum?

Hi, I m suffering from hair fall which started a month and a half ago & did not get better even with a Collagen treatment. I had a baby 5 months ago so I thought at first that it was the normal postpartum hair loss. Now, however, I m really getting worried as my hair is thinning considerably. Thank you for your time.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Hairfall is seen in people after delivery. Generally it will settle by itself. As a first line management you can take zinc containing multivitamins for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a dermatologist and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
