What Causes Consistent Pain In Abdomen?

Hi, I m having stomach pain that has been happening over the past few days, and I m starting to worry it s something serious. It s on and off pain, centrally located (not on one side or the other), not sharp pain but consistent when it s happening, and it s been happening again for the last couple hours.

Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

The location of pain and its character as you described makes possibility of a gastric ulcer or gall stones among two top probabilities.

In any case, first line investigation should be ultrasound followed by liver function tests, amylase and complete blood count.

You can try using antispasmodic like drotaverine and in case of symptoms associated with meals you can use antacids like omeperazole after discussing with your GP.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
