I m thirty weeks pregnant and was experience consistent pain in my right side, low by my hip. Yes, my muscles are sore in that area due to stretching. The pain I was experiencing (yesterday) was regular. I kept experiencing it steadily, every 10-15 minutes or so, and wasn t overly sharp. It was also something I was feeling when the baby wasn t moving, so it isn t as if a kick caused sensitive muscles to hurt. The steadiness of the pain and the inability to associate it was baby movement (though the baby is moving regularly) made me worry it was the beginning of preterm labor. The pain subsided today. This isn t my first pregnancy, so I m aware what labor feels like and the pain wasn t intense like labor pains.
The growing uterus can put pressure on surrounding structures like the pelvis, urinary bladder, muscles in the regoon and so on. Although your presentation could be normal I would recommend tou to report the same to your doctor. A physical examination would help resolve any causes for concern.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
