What Causes Constant Agina And Fatigue After Catheterizations?

12 years ago I had cabbage done with six grafts one later a stent. Then two years ago 2 more stents. After 4 heart caths and 3 stents since the end of March l am still experiencing angina on an almost daily basis along with fatigue. My current cardiologist told all vessels are clear how can this be if I still have chest tightening? Last night while at rest I had 3 episodes in about 45 each time nitro relieved symptoms . I am concerned there is blockage being missed and one of these times I won t come out of it. Any thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Conditions like anemia or thyroid dysfunction can cause these kind of symptoms. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. A thyroid function test and complete blood count (CBC) has to be done. An echo test also be done to rule out abnormalities in the pumping action of the heart.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
