Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constant Belching Along With Flatulence?
I have had food poisoning 3 times in the last 6 weeks. Each time is prefaced by citrus flavored belching and unusually frequent flatulence. Within 2 to 3 hours of that, I end up vomiting a few times, with intense diarrhea that lasts for up to 36 hours. I think I have pinpointed the problem....I regularly eat turkey and ham cold cuts that boast All Natural. No Preservatives. . I think it may be the problem. I have since removed the products from my diet, however, I m wondering if it could be caused by something else. Is there a specific type of food poisoning that gives you a growing yeast-like bloating in your stomache, with the citrus flavored eructation? Thank you for your time and input. -Ken
I think you should do a total blood count with formula, a stool culture and stool parasitic test. This tests will help to determine if there is an infection of the intestine which may be causing that frequent diarrhea you are experiencing. You can send the test results to me to evaluate them.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
