Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am 36 male and have constant burning in my nipples for last couple of days. Got my hormones checked and estradiol and prolactin levels came well within range but still to be sure I took two 10mg pills of tamoxifen and the burning went away. Next day same burning and I again took Tamoxifen and burning went away. My question is that when my hormones such as Estradiol and Prolactin are coming well within normal range, then what could be the reason. Just to add, if I get constipated, the burning sensation in nipples get high to unbearable levels combined with hot flashes, but with diarhea it goes away totally. Could it be something related to bile or other digestive enzymes ? I also got checked for transferrin saturation and ferritin just to be sure if they were causing problems. They also came out well within range. Please help
Hi,there's a lot of reasons for burning nipple sensation, 1-infection ,bacterial or fungal infection can cause burning nipple ,you can also complain of cracked nipple skin or redness. 2-neuropathy specially if you are on chemotherapy drugs intake. 3-cancer of the nipples it is called pagets disease of the nipples, you have to be examined by your doctor to exclude the presence of mass deep in areola or nipples,if you complain of nipple discharge at any time you have to be examined
