What Causes Constant Burning Sensation In The Groin Area?

I m wondering what my weird symptoms could be. I felt a little nauseated and headache starting Saturday night after being in the sun all day at the lake. First time in sun for the year. I thought I had the flu. Burning sensation started in left groin - constant. It was a little on the right at first, but mainly on left almost all day today. Now tonight, the pain as disipated in groin and moved down to left knee. I m a 59 year old female.
