Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constant Chest Pain Along With Tenderness?
My husband had left chest wall pain that I thought was costochondritis then it move to his left flank area. A couple of weeks later it started in his right flank and moved around to his right chest wall. Pain is reproduced with any movement and is tender to touch. No known injury and no cold sx.
Costochondritis can be a cause of the symptoms of you husband. I suggest to do an electrocardiogram to exclude cardiac issues. I also suggest to do a chest X-ray. Meanwhile, you can use Acetominophen 500 mg three times a day to relieve the pain. I also suggest using a gastroprotector such as Omeprazole 20 mg daily in the morning.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
