General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Costochondritis can be a cause of the symptoms of you husband. I suggest to do an electrocardiogram to exclude cardiac issues. I also suggest to do a chest X-ray. Meanwhile, you can use Acetominophen 500 mg three times a day to relieve the pain. I also suggest using a gastroprotector such as Omeprazole 20 mg daily in the morning.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
