What Causes Constant Cough While Suffering From Cold?

I have had a bad cold for two weeks, the last 4-5 days I ve been coughing constantly. Yesterday it felt like my lower left side ripped open and now every time I cough I get that horrible ripping pain. I also had a laparoscopic hysterectomy 6 months ago.

cold is viral infection and self limiting. appears you have got secondery infection. sputum for afb can be done. can take benadryl cough linctus with vit c. forsecondery infection youhave to take proper antibiotic . can take ezythrocin 500mg daily morning for 4 weeks.
