Brief Answer: DYSPHAGIA
Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your symptoms there may be few reasons which can cause difficulty in swallowing also called as Dysphagia..
It may be due to any brain damaging condition like
Stroke, Parkinson's disease etc..
Some other conditions causing narrowing of oesophagus may also lead to difficult swallowing like GERD (Gastro-oesophageal reflex syndrome).
This causes reflux of acids from stomach to the throat leadind to ulcer formation in the oesophagus and throat which causes
scars in the oesophagus thus narrowing it..
Scarring of oesophagus may also be due to infection, inflammation, swelling,
radiation etc..
Scleroderma also causes Dysphagia..
Any tumor around oesophagus can lead to compression over it.
Myasthenia Gravis can also cause difficulty swallowing as it affects the muscles of the food pipe..
Other less common conditions can be cancer of oesophagus..
I would suggest you to meet an ENT expert soon and get evaluated for exact cause of your problem..
Till the time eat soft and greasy food that ease in swallowing..
Consume more of liquids to fulfil the nutritional requirements.
Hope your query is solved..
Thanks and regards..
