General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of kidney problem. Flank pain is often triggered by kidney stones, infections, blood clot, polycystic kidney disease. Other underlying health issues that can present with similar symptoms are UTI, urinary tract infection, liver problems/ hepatitis, gallstones, untreated herniated disc, etc. The above mentioned factors cause flank pain. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, your treatment will depend on the symptoms and pathology detected. To get relief from pain and discomfort you can take NSAIDs, after food.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
