Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You needn’t be worried as your fears are not going to come true. You will be extremely comfortable and safe after the procedure. Nowadays there are no sutures involved in tonsil surgery. If your problem recurs then you will have to get a gastroenterologist opinion. If dizziness is your primary complaint then take an audiology test(Impedance) to check your middle ear compliance and to rule out any pathology in the ear as it is common in people with enlarged tonsils. We can assess your condition a few weeks after your surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
