General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of vomiting and development of constant gagging feeling in throat.
The constant gagging feeling can be due to the following reasons:
The acid from stomach causes reaction in throat after vomiting and edema.
Previous pharyngitis getting enhanced and symptomatic.
An actual lump may be present.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Take a PPI like Omeprazole to reduced acidity.
Take acid neutralizer like antacid.
Plenty of oral fluids to avoid dehydration.
Get an appointment with a Gastroenterologist.
Upper GI Endoscopy.
H pylori testing and further management as per the exact cause found.
Povidone Iodine gargles.
Liver function tests.
All these will help to get a proper diagnosis and have specific treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
