What Causes Constant Headaches And Memory Loss After A Head Injury?

I fell off a ladder the other day and landed on my head on the tile floor. Went to the emergency room -- where the doctors were unconcerned with my head but rather just wanted to make sure my neck wasn t broken. I did not get a scan for my head or anything. It has been almost a month since and I have been having horrible, constant headaches and recently have been having memory loss. I forgot how to spell my name and it took me a long time to remember how. I have been forgetting simple words.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

With your history and symptoms, subdural hematoma is the major concern. CT scan of head can confirm the diagnosis. Please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider as soon as possible. If confirmed subdural hematoma is treated with surgery.
