What Causes Constant Headaches, Nausea And Missed Menstrual Cycles?
Hi, i would like to ask a question. Lately i have been having constant headaches and nausea for around 2-3 weeks which juz recently stopped only to be replaced by non stop burping for a week. My period has not come for nearly 2 months. Preg test neg. Find it so hard to sleep cos i feel that there is th obstructing my airway and my burping will not stop at all. I have history of asthma. Pls advise.
Gastroesophageal reflux disease involves reflux of acid from stomach to food pipe and patients will experience symptoms like burping, burning sensation or acid taste in mouth. Acid secretion should be reduced with proton pump inhibitors like rabeprazole. These drugs should be taken half an hour before food for 5 to 10 days. Continue to sleep on left since it is the appropriate for reflux problems.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
