General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I share your concern
Uremia can cause hiccup which might be related to UTI or obstruction in urine flow.

I would advise you to get blood test done for blood urea and serum creatinine and liver function test to rule out kidney and liver disease

Ask him to have plenty of fluids to maintain good hydration and urine out put which will help by flushing of the urogenital tract.
You can give him baclofen group of drugs after consulting your doctor

Please write back to me with more relevant information and complete medical history so that I will be able to tell you more precisely.
Best wishes
