What Causes Constant Hunger And Nausea?

hi i am wondering if I am experiencing nausea or if i am severely hungry. I have been sick with some kind of bug that has left me nauseated for about the past week only to resort to eating crackers and small bites of banana. I have ruled out that it its not a stomach virus, but a sinus infection. The amoxicillin gives me the urge to vomit or have it feel like it is sitting in the back of my throat. So am I just hungry and should eat because im starving myself or continue the brat diet?

Hello,

Omeprazole and metochlorpramide (with prescription) are generally helpful for the huger feeling and the nausea and I would recommend you to try them. Also having frequent small amount of fluids and food is helpful to overcome the nausea. If amoxicillin is causing you to have urge to vomit try to take it after food.
As for what kind of food to eat, it all depends on how you feel of different food and if they cause you nausea. It is not a problem to take certain foods for a while till you feel better. Fruit in small pieces are generally well tolerated, plane soups in frequent small sips, toasted bread as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
