What Causes Constant Itchy Throat?

My throat get a itchy every time I eat mostly anything. I have the sensation of hair or something being stuck in the back of my throat or on the base of my tongue my throat also feels swollen on and off. My nose randomly gets extremely itchy, sometimes dry sometimes runny. I can't take it anymore. I don't have the time or patience to be in and out the emergency room. PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of constant itchy throat which seems to be due to excessive acid production, poor immunity of body and it could be due to enlarged papillae of tongue.

Need not to worry. You should not lay down immediately after having food. Avoid intake of sharp spicy food. Do warm saline gargles. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You should maintain oral hygiene. You can go for blood and sputum tests as well. You should take proper course of antibiotics along with antiinflammatory medications. Maintain proper oral hygiene.
