What Causes Constant Pain After Bilateral Salphingectomy?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Bilateral salpingectomy takes a longer time to heal especially in abdominal incision) so pain can last till healing 5 to 6 months. If pain lasts longer, it can be due to endometriosis developing at tube ligation point. Shutting down ovaries can stop progesterone secretion by ovary and stop pain due to endometriosis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
