Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing stomach issues, which my Rheumatologist feels is directly related to a medication I am taking. With that, I have changed my eating habits to much smaller meals and have tried to stay with foods that are easily digested. With that, I have eaten very little today (1 protein shake, 1/2 avocado, 1 slice whole wheat/grain bread, 2 small Campari tomatoes & water...that s it since 7am...currently almost 3pm. I am now having pains, as if I over ate. Can you tell me if what I can do and if you have any thoughts as to what my problem is?
Hi, It seems that due to taking some NSAID medicine for arthritis pain might produce gastric irritation, acidity, gastritis can give rise to this problem. Avoid this type of medicine as much as possible or take this medicine with Omeprazole and with full stomach. Ok and take care.
