What Causes Constant Pain In Arms?

I'm 52 year old female-I had rotator cuff repair 9 weeks ago...p/t started at 4 weeks. I'm in pain all the time, mostly in my arm. sometimes throbbing, sometimes hard tingle, or burn, sensitive to soft touch. My p/t and surgeon state my motion is not where it should be. Surgeon has given me a prescrip of Lyrica in case it's nerve damage. He also doesn't want me to take pain meds- I was taking 1-2 per 24 hour period. What do you think? btw..it's a work comp case
