What Causes Constant Pain In Chest, Back With History Of Acute Pancreatitis?

Hello, I'm a 36 years old female. In 2009 i had acute pancreatitis. Lately I've been having constant pain again in my chest and entire back. Starting to remember this is exactly how i felt for so long before was diagnosed. Is it possible for it to happen again. Don't smoke or drink>

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, pancreatitis can cause relapse.
Without smoking and alcohol, it can happen again.
So in my opinion, you should first get done pancreatic enzyme levels (amylase and lipase) and ultrasound examination of abdomen.
If enzymes are normal and ultrasound is not suggestive of pancreatitis then no need to worry for this.
Sometimes acute severe gastritis can also cause similar symptoms.
So avoid stress and tension. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food. Start proton pump inhibitors. Drink plenty of fluids orally.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
But first rule out acute pancreatitis.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
