What Causes Constant Pain In Left-sided Abdomen Between The Navel And Hip?

I have this constant dull pain on my left side between my navel and hip- I have had CAT scans that show nothing, but was reading crohn s and have heard that where my discomfort is , is also where the sm.and lg.intestines meet, which can be a syptom in crohns. Could this be a possibility, a concern I should ask my Dr. about?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
These symptoms are suggestive diverticulosis of sigmoid colon and you need to do colonoscopy or irrigography to rule this out, this may also be Crohns but these ar not typical symptoms of it. These tests I ve mentioned will rule out crohns as well. So this would be best option in your case.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
