Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I m having a muscle pain in my arm since last year , it starts from upper arm to all the way down to the hand palm , just wondering what type of pain it could be ? Had Advil quit a few times , and tried rub 535 too but did not find any difference , it still the same everyday , and it bothers me a lot
The pain looks to be a neuropathic one that is caused by a pinched nerve. A nerve go all way through the hand hence the pain may be felt all through the arm.
Generally, it does not respond well to the painkiller. We generally recommend physiotherapy and certain drugs like gabapentin for the pain. But first, it needs to be confirmed by proper assessment and evaluation. You can see your doctor who would advise further.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
General & Family Physician
