What Causes Constant Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

I had diviticulitis last year and since then have suffered severe pains in my pelvic region. Have had antibiotics but the doctor thinks I may be constipated. The pain in the lower part make me double over and Movicol was prescribed three days ago. Still have severe pain throughout the day. Panadol sometimes helps.
