What Causes Constant Pain In The Ribcage On The Right Side?

Hi! I m a physician (working in a pharmaceutical industry). I had a laparoscopic procedure for hysterectomy + annexes 10 days ago. Everything was fine. The only thing is this constant pain 6/10 under the right ribcage (air from gas laparoscopic). How long does it take to get rid of? I walk a lot, but no change. Very painful. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to bloating. It is one of the common cause of abdominal pain in the right side. I suggest to do a abdominal ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I suggest to use Buscopan for the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
