What Causes Constant Pain In The Stomach Like That During Menstruation?

Hello. 5 days ago I have had my first intercourse and once finished I was bleeding after it which is I think normal thing. My partner used a condom of course. But the concern is that these last 2 days I am experiencing like a constant pain in my stomach, something similar to the pain when having a menstrual period. What should I do ??? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It can occur after first intercourse and may resolve with in few days. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with anti spasmodic like Drotaverine can be used.

If the pain persists beyond one week, a gynecologist review and per vaginal examination or ultrasound pelvis may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.
