General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Very likely your daughter is having pains due to the spasms of the muscles of the throat which might happen in the case of anxiety. It is best though to rule out other problems of the throat first by having a visit with the ENT doctor.
If the ENT doctor does not identify a problem with her throat then she will need to get treatment for anxiety and in this case some counseling and citalopram might prove helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
