What Causes Constant Pain On The Left Side Of Abdomen?

I have pain on my left side of my abdomen. Its the upper part towards my ribs. Yesterday it was constant and dull but today until right about now I have had no pain. I do not have a fever, chills, aches, headache or anything like that. I am not jaundice. Just pain on my left side. Awhile back I can remember pain inbetween my shoulder blades. I do not think that was related. I just thought of it. My mom is convinced it is my gallbladder but isn t that on your right?

Diverticulitis is one of the most common causes of lower left abdominal pain.
Diverticulitis occurs when diverticula in the intestinal wall become infected and inflamed.
An abdominal ultrasound is needed to confirm the diagnosis.
Meanwhile,I suggest using a spasmolytic such as Buscopan to relieve the pain.
