What Causes Constant Period Like Lower Back Pain With History Of Tubal Ligation?
I m 47. Constant period like pain in my lower back. An ache. Tubal ligation at the age of 28. Never been pregnant. Irregular period s for a year now after D&C a year ago with uterine polyps removed after complaining of irregular periods. Weight gain... yes by 10lbs. 5 7 now 148lbs was about 139 2 years ago. I don t eat much and don t exercise much either.
The tubal ligation long back does not reveal any co relation with condition of lower back pain. The associated irregular menses and lower back pain may be related to: - Symptom of part of premature menopausal period (usual period is 51 years) - Muscle sprain or strain - Hormone imbalance related - Unilateral ovarian pathology - Obesity related - Others
Kindly provide me details of any work up done with your doctor as X-ray or ultrasound, MRI of the back region if available.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
